Richie Stephens awarded at the ASCAP Awards in London. Richie share this award with his fans globally and three members of the Ska Nation Band.
The awards were presented to Stephens for his 1998 ‘Sail Away’ (Riddim) which was sampled in Rihanna and Drake’s international hit, ‘Work.’
Stephens was not the only Jamaican honored as Steven ‘Lenky’ Marsden was awarded for the writing of ‘Luv’ by Tory Lanez and ‘Let Me Love You’ by DJ Snake featuring Justin Bieber. Speaking on the honour, Stephens said: “I am over the moon. I am so blessed to receive two international awards in the USA; and now to be honoured in England is a major accomplishment at this time in my career.”

2017 has been quite the year for the singer, who kicked off the summer in Brooklyn, New York, where he launched his Steely and Clevie- produced album titled Luv-A-Dub Style. The album, which is distributed by VP Records, contains songs like Feel Good All Over; All Night Long, featuring U Brown; Love Her Up, with Sister Nancy; Come Back To Bed and Rain From The Sky.
 
The singer was also one of the top performers at the newly branded Reggae Sumfest, which drew record crowds at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay.
